How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal (epilation) is based on photothermolysis, which means that the light beam penetrates the skin, where it is absorbed by melanin, i.e. the pigment contained in hair. The heat generated by the laser destroys the hair bulb, allowing for effective, permanent removal.

What is the VeLux hybrid laser?

VeLux Ilooda is a hybrid laser for permanent hair removal which combines the two most effective wavelengths 755 nm and 808 nm (Alexandrite and classic diode laser wavelengths). Both VeLux laser beams alternate on hair follicles using the revolutionary Motion Scanning technology resulting in maximum effectiveness and reaching hair follicles at any skin depth.

Epilation with VeLux laser can be performed on any area of the body where you want to get rid of unwanted hair.

Is the treatment painful?

The VeLux laser head incorporates a special cooling system with sapphire glass, which together with the Motion Scanning technology increases the comfort of the treatment to such an extent that it completely eliminates the need for an anesthetic ointment and lubrication gel.

How long does a hair removal treatment last?

The large lens and Motion Scanning technology allows for a very fast treatment and electronic adjustment of the head to the treatment area shortens it to a minimum. For example, epilation of the whole leg area takes about 30 minutes.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments needed to achieve the desired effect depends on skin complexion and hair color, but usually a series of 4 – 5 treatments is sufficient. Epilation treatment can be performed throughout the year, but always the most recommended period is autumn-spring. Epilation with VeLux laser can be performed on any area of the body where you want to get rid of unwanted hair.

Is it worth performing the treatment?

Of course! The treatment is not only effective and comfortable. It is also safe and healthy for the skin. Moreover, a side effect of VeLux laser hair removal is a photo-rejuvenating effect on treated areas.
